Hardtop Help

I've been searching everywhere for some help so I hope this isn't a repeat. I bought a hardtop for my YJ. Its in great shape except the piece on the rear glass that the covers the lower part of the glass (is cut specifically for the tailgate of a yj) is damaged. I'd like to replace/repair it as 1/3 is cracked off. Any suggestions where to look for a replacement?

Salvage or Dealer, But finding a Top in a Salvage yard will be hard they tend to be grabbed the second they come in. I was pulling my XJ D44 that I used in my YJ when they have another YJ come in with a hardtop and full steel doors, I paid for my axle and went back in for the Top and doors to sell on craigslist ( my YJ already had a hardtop and full doors )

I will post a picture asap. I've tried all the yards and most of them just laugh. I have found ten hardtops with no rear glass but that doesn't help. If only quadratec would realize the need for this............

I saw the thread about using plexiglass but fortunately I have the glass, I have decided to fabricate one out of wood and fiberglass it. Thanks for the suggestions

I think what he is talking about id the plastic cover piece that goes over the latch mechanism on the inside of the top. I have the same issue where mine is broken off.

Both pieces really, it looks as though this Hardtop sat with the glass dug in the dirt, grass was growing in between the glass and the pieces in question. What would you guys call those pieces? I've been calling it the latch Jammy whatsit.

Why don't you take a pic of the hatch so that we can see it.

You can upload them on photobucket and post them via embedding from here. The site uses HTML, so when you go to photobucket, just remember to select the IMG code on there (just in case youve never used PB before) and cut/paste that link to the body of your post, such as I did with this pic:
