Hardtop Defroster Won't Work

So i've had my jeep awhile and i just got around to fixing this problem but the hard top defroster doesn't work at all. ive checked all the fuses and they are just fine. what the heck is the problem?

and the light on the switch doesn't turn on by the way.

I have to disagree with you on that one my friend. I was troubleshooting a friends truck who had no parking lights in the back. If I pulled the bulbs out there was 12v at the socket. Put the bulb or a load on the circuit and it dropped to like 2 volts. I started tracing the wires back and found a bad connector under the cab.

You could have a bad ground causing all your problems.

Check the connection at the rear window. Mine slide off all the time when I open the rear lift gate.

Check for power to the connector at the window and the wires coming out of the top. Then check left rear corner for the connector going up the top. Then check by the e brake peddle connector and the switch. Actual go the other direction. But this gives you all the location to where the connector are.
