The biggest problem is the lack of circulation, being as the under dash style A/C fan is pretty weak on it's best day.

It may seem a little cheesy, but a 12V dash fan like this mounted somewhere in the Jeep can do a lot to help move the air in the cab.

If the ac works I doubt it would be the compressor. The problem is yj vents blow straight at your knees at best and that doesn't really allow a whole lot of circulation. You have to remember heat rises and the cold are is blown at your knees. I second the fan idea. Justbget the air moving and you should be ok.

maybe a couple 12v computer fans ? you could put them in the outer vents angled upwards. I'm thinking of the small processor cooling fans but I suppose the 4" ones could work as well at least it would be a little less obvious.
