Is it hard to install a Weber?

My Weber comes tomorrow(was going to be here on Friday but was set back one business day). I have a heated garage and a 24pack in fridge, ready to get to work. I just wanted a heads up on how long it takes to install and if it comes with good directions; Or anything I should look out for from you that have installed one. I bought mine from Carbs Unlimited at www.carburetion.com. I can't wait to play hockey with my old carter.

I did mine myself out in the cold, in the dark, and parallel parked in the street. I just planned it out in my head while looking at diagrams, repair manual and the engine itself. If you have a new one, it should probably have pretty good instructions. I bought a used one that had some different install instructions. If you take your time - it shouldnt take longer than a few hours.

The only issues I had with my installation was my lack of reading comprehension in regards to the directions. Follow them to the letter and you'll be up and running in less time than it took to watch the Superbowl highlights..........

Good idea. I did not see one in the write up area. If all goes well I'll have one up within 24 hours.

It's A Piece Of Cake And You Are Going To Love It After Having Run That Carter. It's Like A New Vehicle After The Install. Just Make Sure You Label All Your Lines So You Know Where They Come From And Where They Need To Go. You Can Lose Alot Of Your Old Vacuum Lines Which Is A Great Thing. I Did The Nutter Bypass Which Depending On What Motor You Have...also Made A Big Difference. Oh And Make Sure You Use The Supplied Locktight Where Applicable. I Had Some Throttle Linkage Come Loose While Driving Down The Interstate. Not Cool...apparently I Did Not Put Enough Locktight.

Chanes are I will do a bypass but I need to make sure that the Weber will pass emissions here in Illinois first. I got the kit that hooks up to the stock air cleaner so I can keep the emissions crud in place. There is a guy on here that has a Weber done the bypass, has no emissions stuff and still passed. If the Weber passes I'll do the Nutter and test it again. Thanks for the advice on the locktight
