Hanging Line

Hello all, im new here so please excuse if this has been asked before. Ive had this hanging line for sometime now and am just now getting some free time from work to actually work on it. i was just wondering if any of you might know what it is.

any help would be greatly appreciated

in the second pic thats what the line is coming from and in the third pic the line coming down towards the camera is the hanging line.

It almost looks like your front axle vent tube. Your pictures aren't very clear but I appreciate you trying in that aspect. Where does it originate?

If its not leaking anything out, thats definitely your axle breather tube. Its supposed to mount on the drivers side of the grille, next to the radiator.

Yeah i havent noticed anything leaking out of it, i was able to pop off the white tip and didnt see any residue or liquid. i tried making the picture bigger, i hope this works.

it is the line thats coming from the back of the front axle in the center of the photo

it is connected to the front axle, yes and coming out of that box(ish) area, (forgive me im a jet engine mechanic not a vehicle mechanic, im trying to get smarter with my jeep now :P)

Its all good man. That box is the differential (houses the gears) and contains a lubricant. The vent allows any bubbles of air to escape. And make sure to put the white tip back on the tube. It helps keep water out.
