Hand Throttle
Ares sent me this site a few days ago, Thanks Ares.
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f46/hand-throttle-311475/ Awsome hand throttle set up. On my 94 YJ the sink clip went right in and bent over the top, no screws needed, I screwed the Schmino shifter cable into the sink clip screw hole to hold the cable. The one thing that I thought of to late and after I installed the hand throttle in my YJ was to route the cable down the shifter through the boot and the tranny tunnel then up to the top of the motor. Instead of drilling a hole in my firewall in front of the shifter to get there. I took out the little half moon piece inside the shifter so that it would not click, and found that if you loosen the side screw it will return when you let it go and idle, or if you tighten the side screw it will lock and hold the speed or RPM. I got the Schmino shifter for $5.00 with cable (new). The bike shop was happy to get rid of it as all of the new bikes do not use this type of shifter anymore I was told. It took about 20 minutes to install, very easy. Now when going up a hill, or pulling a boat out of the launch I have both feet to work the clutch and brake. Without having to roll back or quickly go to the gas. If you have a stick shift like me, you need a hand throttle at times. No need to want a automatic anymore. Awsome, Thanks again Ares, and Airborn4x4 for doing the write up.
