Half door mirrors on a 92 full door?

Ok, so I'm looking to buy a set of half door mirrors to put on the full doors on my 92 wrangler. However, all of the mirrors say they only fit 94-95 full doors, what is the reason for this. I searched the forum and all I was able to come up with was that vent window interfered with them. If anyone has any experience with this, please post or PM me, thanks.

You can get door hinges that will allow you to mount mirrors such as you describe, you can even drill & tap the hinges you currently have - mounting them isn't a problem. The problem is using them, the vent window and all the stuff around it make a mirror that far forward difficult to use.

thanks for the help, the vent window won't be a problem, the windshield mirrors I have cracked, and I'm really not that upset because of how crappy they were
