I would try the syncromesh if your not already running it. If so double clutching takes the stress of the syncros and should keep it from grinding.

It may work for a week, it may never fail, no way to tell. As others have said, change out the fluid. Synchromesh is a good substitute for the factory fill(cheaper too). You also may want to add a bottle of that Lucas Oil additive. Looks like a bottle of snot, but it may help a bit(quieted mine down, although a couple of bearings were going bad in mine, not synchros).

Don't use either of those, you will accelerate the demise of your trans.
The stuff you want is called Synchromesh, Autozone carries it(others may also, but I know for sure AZ has it).
Redline also has a suitable substitute(MTL or MT90, can't remember which). But it is more expensive, and for me, harder to get, as there is no local Redline dealer.

as the poster above mentions use neither of those.

This is the magic bottle you're looking for. This stuff is simply amazing, I need to rebottle this stuff as "liquid ax15 rebuild kit" and sell it for $100 a quart

see this thread

I'll let you know how it works for me.

Thanks to everyone!

Not my thread, but a related question. If double-clutching and a fluid change to the aforementioned syncromesh doesn't solve grinding into third gear, then would the clutch/syncro's be worn? It works great and I plan on pulling the transmission when I have a spare vehicle.
I would say great things about the syncromesh, but just changing the fluid wasn't enough to prevent grinding in my case. I can't quite rule out wear of other components yet though.
