Grinding second gear!!!

I just took my yj for its maiden spin around the block after buying it and restoring it. Now it grinds going into second gear. It doesnt do it when I am stopped but it does when I upshift or down shift. It is the ax5 tranny. What can I put in it to eliminate this or do I have bigger problems (synchonizers etc).
Thanks
TOm

My YJ does a similar thing, it's not really a grind but it's hard to get it into 2nd sometimes, but not all the time.... I can't figure it out

i lot of the YJ tranny's have that problem, have you driven it for like 15 minutes straight or more, if you let the trans "warm up" the grinding may go away, mine does, its kinda weird but once the gears and fluid get heated up the grinding stops and its smooth shifting all the way around.
