Grinding noise when clutch pedal pressed

I have a noise that sounds like metal grinding when I push on the clutch pedal to shift gears. When in gear and moving the noise stops. It only occurs when the pedal is pressed. I am not very familar with clutches or transmissions. I had a new clutch installed last year and it has been fine until now. Any ideas what could be the cause?

could be your throw-out bearing. I kno someone with a TJ that makes a grinding noise when idling with the unpressed.
But your gears shift fine I supposes?
