Green 95 YJ Build
After having my Jeep for 3 years I have finally decided to start my own build thread.
I bought my Jeep in October 2006 when I was 16. I really wanted a CJ but any CJ I looked at was either a total rust bucket or it had been restored and I could not afford it. I knew I didn't want a TJ simply because they have too many creature comforts. I like the bare metal spartan interior of CJs and YJs. I found a Jeep in my price range and I jumped on it. If I could go back and do it again I would buy a 4.0 instead of the 2.5, but I wanted a Jeep so bad I didn't care. Oh well. Starting specs: 2.5L engine 5 speed 1.75" Shackle lift 31" Pro Comp mud terrains Pro Comp steel wheels Hard top w/ hard doors The seller also gave me a set of half doors and a bikini top. I planned on building my Jeep up with a RE 4" suspension lift and 33" tires. Due to prices going up on the lift kits I had to buy a RE 2.5" suspension lift instead. I bought a set of 33x12.5x15 BFG Mud Terrains on Craigslist despite everyone telling me they would not fit. To my surprise they fit! A few months ago my clutch went out. I finally put a new clutch in and got her running great and on Monday I was t-boned by a woman who ran a red light. So now I cant drive my Jeep, again. Insurance money should buy some rocker panels and other goodies. Future mods include: Ford 8.8 swap Re-gear Lockers front and rear Rocker panels Skids Flush mount LED tail lights

Here are a few pictures.
![]() On the way to prom. I had to wash the Jeep or my girlfriend wouldn't ride in it in her dress. Notice the mismatched tires. I ran over a hitch pin and could only afford tires for the rear. Lift ![]() Before ![]() ![]() After Some light wheeling after I put the lift on. ![]() ![]()
