You do what you have to and you DON'T have to expalin it to anyone, OK?
You will get to it when you can but I will suggest that if you have not already done so, clean all of your batteries connections, and I mean all of then.
Don't just look at them and say OK, disconnect the battery and remove and clean it all, it might help, sure as hell won't hurt!

The tuneup will help for sure but did you remove all of the power connections and clean them all? Positive to all connections and ground to all connections especially the ground on the bolck?
After I did those and put in new cables it made a big difference, just saying. Good luck, were all counting on you! LOL

I had that issue and upgraded my alternator, now she runs like a champ again. I upgraded to the alternator to one from a 95 Grand Cherokee with the 5.2L, it was the cheaper way to go to a higher output without shoving out $500. I definitely agree you need to take a look at the battery, spark plugs, cap, and wires though, just to be certain before spending the ~$150 on the alternator.

Paved Roads: Another great example of poor government spending.

Man I wish we had an alternator shop here, that would be sweet. 75 is a good price for a rebuild and a bump up in power.
