Gonna look at this Jeep, what is it worth?

Besides asking you all what is it worth, what are some things I would want to ask him? and also look for?

Here are the specs

1994 Jeep Wrangler
4.0 liter I-6, Manual,
130k original miles, less than 30k on new engine from Checker Auto
44 rear axle from Cherokee installed by Six States (very good local 4x4 company)
hardtop, bikini top, safari top,
soft safari half doors, full doors,
deck cover, windjammer,
tow hitch,
2 inch shackle lift,
32 X 11.5 goodyear MTRs.

PICTURE here

Questions I am thinking of asking him

was clutch changed as well while the engine was being taken out?

who did the engine install?

why did the original rear end go out?

what company makes your shackle lift?

What else should I look for?

I am new to Jeeps so I dont know alot. Any help would be appreciated. Looking forward to joining the club!

I would say its worth 5K (US) depending on the condition. Oviously try to get it as cheaply as possible. Has it had a body job?

Has it had a body job? What is a body job? You mean body work? Or a body lift?

I havent looked at it yet.

Does "soft safari half doors" mean the 1/2 hard doors that have the removable upper halves?

What do you guys figure I can sell ALL the tops for and the full hard doors for?

I want a soft top so some of the money will go towards that.

Also can I powdercoat the wheels black

With the hard top and everything it has, it's worth $5,900 as long as there are no major problems.

I looked at the picture and it looks pretty good. Look at the body for rust. Particularly the floor pans. Look underneath for leaks where the engine mates to the transmission. Look in the skid plate under the transmission and transfer case for fluid. Alot of times those rear seals on np231's leak. It seems like a decent price considering it has a new engine and a d44 in the rear.

No safari doors are just metal tubing bent in the shape of the door. He may be calling safari doors the soft half doors.

5900 is a good buy, I would offer him 5500. Then, when he says no, tell him you'll go 5900 if he puts the stock shackles back on.

Stock shackles? Is there something wrong with the ones that are on there now?

$400 for 10 minutes work to replace shackles? Jeeze, Mail me, I'll give you a set of stock shackles.

I was just saying that it's a decent buy, but I wouldn't want shackle lifts. I have them and for the very few miles I put on my jeep I've been through 2 sets of good u-joints. I actually do need a set of stock shackles though. How much for them seriously?
