Get rid of body kit or no?
I have a 1993 Jeep Sahara with a genuine renegade body kit, it was put on by the factory and its a little banged up but im geting it repaired soon, should i get rid of it and get other body parts or just keep it?

You'll get a lot of opinions about that! I'll start... I generally feel that's an ugly body kit. However, I have see pics of at least a couple renegades with lifts and tires backspaced right to fill the wheel wells and they looked really sharp. So there's potential there!
Do you spend much time offroad? If so, it probably doesn't pay to have the body package fixed up because it will probably get busted up again |

depends wht ur wanting to do with it really. i wheeled with a guy in uwharrie and he had the renegade kit on his yj and had no probs wheelin and never tore it up. if youre trying to flat fender out your rig and do some extensive upgrading then yes i would take it off and store it where it will be kept in good shape

I've never been a fan of that body kit -- too much plastic. I say simplify and see if you can sell it.

Check out my build thread if you plan on removing...I'm just going to give you a heads up its a lot of work. You will need to be able to weld and do some bondo work at minimum and plan on buying tube fenders for the front or flat fender your stock ones because of the cut out for the fog lights...
Here is mine before ![]() ![]() ![]()
