Is that just for Mall cruisin' and pickin' up girls
Hope you have some spare axles. That stock D35 with that combo you're gonna snap on. Unless of coarse you're just cruisin' the malls.

yes it has 7.5 in lift why ? it had 4.5 leaf springs,2in shackles,1in body, and why would i brake axles with 35's ? my old jeep also had 35s and went wheeling almost every other day ( mud, hills, rocks) never had a problem before and i know somone who is an owner of a custom jeep shop and he even said as long as i dont go to 37 i will be fine with stock axles.

I have to disagree with your jeep guy. A friend of mine is on 35" tires and he broke 3 axle shafts before swapping to an 8.8. And I have broke 1 axle shaft on 31" tires. The Dana 35 just can't handle that much tire

4.88's without a doubt. I have 4.56's and 35's and its 'OK'. Closer to stock ratio, so I would like to be lower.
As far as tha axles... I was "luckey" for a few years with a turdy 5. If you decide to put $$$ towards gearing your stock axles, thats your choise, but IMHO that same money could be put towards something a little beefier. As far as your 'Jeep guy', there does seem to be a little bit of fact that non C-clip turdy 5's seem to hold up better than do clips, if indeed that is what you have... but its still a D35.
