Gas filler conversion.

I am tired of the hassel I get at the gas pump. Most times the gas nozzle clicks off due to the tanks closeness to the filler. I am thinking of doing a TJ style conversion and putting the filler on the side.
Has anyone done this?

My '91 was the same as yours for 11 yrs since new. I just enlarged the 15 gallon tank to 20 gallons using the vent tube pullout method. The click off problem was GONE GONE GONE!! Have you tried this? If you still have the 15 gal tank. Do a search on 15 to 20 gallon conversion on yahoo or google and a Jeeper's page should give you step by step instructions. A hint: add lubricant when pulling your vent tube.
