Funny Sounds???

The other day, a loud rattling sound started and its sounds like it is coming from the left part of the car...maybe near the firewall. Then today.. it stopped and a softer sound started near the same place. This second sound is hard to explain, but it is repetative about every half a second, kind of high pitched. Im thinking that it is because of the cold whether recently... it has been around 50 degrees, and all of the sudden its snowing here.

Has this happened to anybody else...if so, any suggestions are great..thanks,

I was just reading another topic, and my therm. doesn't work either. It always stays at cold..and never moves...could the water thing be the problem? I don't know.

As for the rattle dont have a clue.But as for the thermostat you may have a problem with the sender.If you are getting no reading its most likly the sender.but if you are getting a low reading it may be your thermo.But the only noise if the thermo was stuck close would be the sound of your jeep over heating and you would see and know that right off hand.the sender is located by the intake manifold.it will have a wire running to it.hope some of this helps.Later,Gary
