Fuel vapor lock?

On my 2.5 YJ (90) when I'm into the throttle climbing on the hwy's for any length of time my YJ starts losing power. If I stop and remove the gas cap there's alot of vacuum and it sucks air. Then when I get back into the thing it runs fine for a while until the next hill. Is this possibly cuz of a plugged fuel return line? ------------the fuel pump was looked at and checked out fine----

Vent line for the gas tank has to be pinched or the valve is bad. You can check the lines to the vapor canister the right rear corner. If you dont see anything wrong there then you are probably going to have to drop the fuel tank.

OK, I understand the vent line part but what valve are you referring to and where is it located?

There are two white fittings on top of your gas tank that vent the fumes and send them to the evap. canister. I'm not sure on your 2.5L where it would be.

Mine were kinked up when I dropped my gas tank. I replace all the vent lines before I put it back in.
