fuel filter location

1992 YJ 4 banger, Is this an in tank filter model? I bought one and it is a can with hose clamp nipple ends. Crawled under it and didn't see it. I have had the tank out before and didn't see one up there either? Searched forum couldn't find anything.

No it is not in the tank. It is on the inside of the frame at the rear drivers wheel. There is a protective plate covering it.

^^^^agree with him. Just follow your fuel line back along the frame rail. Its towards the back on the DS in front of the rear axle.
