Front Wheel Wobble!!!

Having major problem with my front end.... i'll be driving on the road and all is well but when I hit a bump or rut the front end starts to wobbl like crazy.. It happens more when i'm going down hill. If i'm on the gas it dose not happen only when i let off. And when the road is wet... the problem goes away??? I've changed the Dampner & Tie Rods as well as the steering box... Can anyone HELP!!!! What is it??

perhaps bump steer, but really need to know what you have i.e., lift, body or other.

Hi Matt

I have a 90 Wrangler but i have a 4.5" sup lift, 3"body, and a 1.5" Shakkle with a reverse shakkle kit. I'm also running 35's. It's driving me mad!!! Drives sweet in the wet.. but on the dry the wheels look like they are about to fall off..

HELP!!!

You could have "death wobble". Do you still have the track bar on, and does it have the extension bracket on.

Sometimes when people don't put the extension bracket for the track bar on, or they didn't get one with the kit for some reason, and bolt the track bar back on it moves the axle over slightly and causes a strange wobble that gets worse until you have to slow down or stop to get rid of it. Happened to a coworker, he bought the adjustable one and his problem went away. You might not have this, just throwing an idea out there

Have you check your ball joints? Jack the front end up and grab the tire top and bottom and try to wiggle it in and out and then grab the left and right side of the tire and try to do the same. Best to have a friend watch for excess movment in the ball joints.
