I bought aftermarket ones, but can't claim they work as well as I would assume the OEM ones did when new. Still, better than nothing - and I got to choose the color.

I have given thought to putting in a five-point harness but it doesn't seem real feasible at the moment.

Apparently some police, or states ... or police states I guess... frown upon (read: ticket) 4- and 5-point harnesses. I've heard that about Florida here.

Florida law reads "You must be restrained by a seat belt when the vehicle is in motion"
They dont specify how or how much.If I am given a ticket for not wearing a seat belt in those conditions I will see them in court.

Where they might get you is if it's DOT approved. Motorcycles in states with helmet laws learned that the hard way. Any ole helmet was not good enough for the cops, it had to have the DOT safety seal.

I bought the after market and as long as you pull them out slow they're great. They do lock up quick, which fine with.
