Front License Plate help

Hey everyone, I have had my "new" '95 Jeep YJ for a little over three weeks now. Just yesterday I registered my vehicle and got license plates for it and was looking to replace them with the temporary plates. The rear plate installed fine, however, I don't see any way to attach the front license plate.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

the two slots on the passenger side of the bumper are for the front plate. On mine I couldn't get bolts through very easily

Depending upon which front bumper you have, if any, you may have to get creative. On most, there are slots cut into the bumper. Go to your local Autozone, O'Reiley's etc and get a license plate mounting kit - some screws and plastic inserts - any use them as directed. If you post up a pic of your bumper, it would help us to determine your best course of action.

Yes, the bumper is stock. To get both sides of the top attached, it seems as if you'd need to remove the bumper to get the inner-most bolt in place.

Don't get too upset when, after having removed the bumper and all that to mount it with the plastic inserts and screws from the auto parts store, you see it flying in the wind behind you at 70 MPH on the freeway. Mine did. Oh well.

I used a telescoping magnectic thingy and put the nut on it, then I carefully slid it in behind the bumper to the slot where I could see the nut threads and then carefully attached the plate with a small bolt. Make sure u get a magnectic thing with a small head because its tight in there

Here's the slots. Mine is in the middle due to the tow bar bracket.

Yep. It's a quick easy fix. If you are dreading the removal of the bumper then just get some self tappers and drill a pilot hole for them to get started. If you do remove the bumper, then I would strongly suggest replacing the bolts with a set of hex head grade 8 models and liberally costing the bolts with antisieze then using a lockwasher before cinching them down.

I didn't think license plates were that difficult to install.

I also drilled and tapped 2 holes in the center of my shortened stock bumper.

It's a very technical subject.
