Your track ar is aftermarket. Didnt get a full view of it... but if the previous owner went aftermarket...its most likely telescoping.
Track bars are not necessary for our YJs. The springs are solidly attached to the axkes... this helps locate the axle. When we lift our YJs... the angle and the binding with the stock track bar ensues. It produces harsh effects on ride quality. As long as yours is telescoping properly (check that) it'd be better than stock but still overkill and not necessary for your set up.
Looks as if the antirock arm *may* brush up against the passenger side brake line.
The front bumper was notched so that the antirock could be installed/work. How effective it is, I cannot say. I wouldn't have set it up that way (with the links angled so far backwards).
Just bought it, been wanting a 95 YJ for a while and looked at a few dozen. Loved the look of this one plus the rust looked fixable on this one. Motor looked good.
It's a project.
I haven't registered it yet, im going to try to make a bunch of repairs first then take care of that.
The track bar looks like a JKS adjustable. I cheated and put one on mine as an interim bandaid after having to use an angle grinder to get the factory bar off. All it's doing on mine is masking worn front end parts with 180,000 miles on them that will be replaced when I finish getting the XJ D30 set up.
With any luck your front end has less wear and lives happily ever after without the bandaid. Either way, it would seem that your front end is already living a happy existence, so dump the track bar and replace any necessary parts. :smile2
Let me look in the garage, I had two stock ones in there but they may have gone to the dump, if not pay for the ride and it's yours. If I don't get back to you in a couple days PM me to remind me, got a lot going on at the moment.
Hm. Ill certaiy touch base with you... leaving on a looong road trip around that time, but logistics have nlt yet been figured. If i am around, i certainly will!
Probably done because the lower shock tube is too fat and the axle tube interferes with it
