Fresh tune still hard starting

Ok I replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Fuel pressure held pressure for 30 min at rail so no fuel problem. Jeep runs ok after starting. Hard starting occurs no matter hot/cold or when. It does eventually start every time. Thinking coil, CPS or ECU. Could run a little smoother but most folks would think it runs fine. What is the most probable thing to check next. Also jeep is 91 and only has 50K and did a lot of sitting along the way.

How long has it been sitting--- could be bad gas if it's been sitting a long time. Drain (syphon) and add new.

May also want to check your timing--read this thread

Always start with codes. Check your fault codes and post what you get:

Last tune up?

Dont guess, troubleshoot. Fuel or spark. Its holding pressure but it is possible that its still a fuel issue. Try some starting fluid and see if it cranks. Check your spark and see if it is blue.

You really need a proper spark tester with today's ignitions. Only about 6 bucks at the auto parts store and is calibrated to quickly ID a weak spark vs a strong spark.

Also a proper fuel pressure gauge. It may hold pressure, but how much pressure?

418 miles on 19 gallons of gas. Can't beat the BBD !
