If you do like I did and just order axles to your specs, Dana 44s are not that much cheaper than 60s. Well, maybe about 1K per axle cheaper. That's why I ordered 60s.

I have a buddy running a Currie 44. It will be for sale soon because it is a piece of ****. Currie takes a lot of shortcuts on the 44s.

Unless you have a good chunk of savings you can afford to dip into, then rayray's advice about building them yourself might be a better route. Jeffy actually got a Dana 44 under the rear of his YJ for a remarkeably low price. I'm sure he'll pipe up soon.

aaahhhhhh!!!!
sorry, needed to vent. Well, now that the axle is back together, the starter decided to take a s**t. At least that has a lifetime warranty. It's always something, I'm under it more than I'm in it.

I just happened to get one that wasn't maintained or was abused. I pulled up a carfax report after finding some body damage that wasn't repaired properly. It turns out that it was a company vehicle at one point in time, and has no accident history.
