Ford 9" onto YJ

I need to know what everyone had to do to mount their ford 9" rearends on to a YJ. This includes brakes, driveline and angle and so on. I'm dropping in a 350 small block/TH400 auto./NP205 T-Case. All help is greatly appreciated.

Well, unless you're swapping your front axle too, you're not gonna find a 9" short enough to match your stock front. Most common 9"s are probably gonna be in the ballpark of 63-65" wide.
Also, the 9" uses a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern, so that isn't gonna match your stock front.

Other than that, you'll have your basic stuff like moving perches/shock mounts, driveline angle will depend on the rest of your setup, brake plumbing, and so on.

I dont't know if you know but the width of the YJ is 60 in. and the widths of ford 9" rearend are right around 60-65...especialy the one I MEASURED TODAY. I can get away with putting extensions of the front end until i switch that dana 30 out if i need extra width. Also, if you don't think it works, go ask the rest of the YJ world what THEY use when they run V8's. Most of the time if its not a Dana, its a 9". Thanx anyway though.
