Ford 8.8 question

Going to look for a 8.8 this weekend for my 87 YJ. The question is what model and year car would work the best. I also am looking for 4.10 gears so how do you tell what ratio it is?? by looking at the rear end??

Also is the bolt patter the same??

Thanks
