fog light indicator light wiring questions.

So last weekend I had made the mistake of leaving my fog lights on and draining the battery. Good excuse to finally by that optima yellow top which I did. While I was there I picked up a small indicator light to install on the dash.

I want to wire it up so that when I flip the missile switch to turn on the fog lights the indicator will come on as well. That way I don't forget to shut them off again. I've tried a few different things but can't seem to get it to work.

The closest I got was reversed. Fogs off indicator on/fogs on indicator off. I want it the other way around.

Has anyone done this or anything similar? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The indicator light should have 1 wire to ground and 1 wire to the load (light) side of the switch.

If you have 12V at the switch then one leg of the lamp goes to the 'power out' side of the switch the other leg of the dash light goes to goes to ground. When you power up the fogs that indicator light should also go on.

Wired mine through the ignition switch. That way they can't be left on without the key being on..Good luck
