Foam seal below windshied.

My foam seal has deteriorated badly. How much trouble is it to replace and where can you get a replacement?

X2.

And to add, if you've never dropped your windshield, coat the pivot point of the hinge with some white lithium or teflon based lubricant a couple times before trying to swing it down. Also, if it's never been down, have one person on each side of the windshield as it may be tough to get it to start moving.

Make sure you treat for any rust you might find once you fold the windshield down.

X2

If your gasket is bad, the top lip of your dash is most likely rusted badly. If you leave it like that, it'll only get worse and will potentially mess up your new gasket while you're trying to fold the windshield back into place.

What do you guys recommend for repairing the rust? Scrape away loose stuff and apply rustoleum?
