Flush mount LED's

Ok, need some help. Just installed brand new flush mount LED tail lights today. All wiring is correct, at least I'm 99.9% positive it is. Everything works great, running lights work as they should, brake lights work as they should and when the hazards are engaged, they blink as they should..........but of course, there always has to be one problem. When the turn signals are engaged, it is just a constant light, no flash. Not too sure why the hazards blink as they should but the turn signals don't. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like you need to get a new signal blinker thing. Its the bell shaped black thing on the bottom of you fuse panel, you need one that will work with the lower resistance leds.

Many times the blinker relay needs to be swapped when LED tail lights are installed. I'm not sure if this could be your problem, but it would be a good thing to check out, and they are pretty cheap. Hope you get it worked out, and post pics when your done!

You need to replace your turn signal flasher with an electronic based flasher. NAPA carries the part.

go into napa, advanced auto, autozone, pep boys...find the correct LED flasher so your jeep. I believe the flasher you want to get is the EL-12. Its only a few bucks, then look up under your dash, like above where your feet are when you drive and find the fuse panel and you will see the old fuse. Pop it out and put in the new and you are good to go!!

Yes, it is an EL-12 flasher module that you need. I just bought mine last week at NAPA for $11.99 and they usually have them in stock.

Wow that is a really nice looking jeep I love the tan top on the blue body. Very sharp!
Now you just need to make a plate that covers the BL on the back!!

Don't know how strictly it's enforced out there in NJ, but you may want to put some red reflective tape or something on the rear. Red reflectors to the rear are required in all 50 states, that's like a $380 ticket here.

Looks good though.

Yea, my rear bumper is almost done being fabricated. There will be a diamond plate cover to cover that BL. Can't wait for that.

You need 50 tech posts and 30 days of membership to be able to have your pictures show up. Or be a paying member.

Edit: It may not be 50 posts anymore, I'm not sure.
