floor plugs

Does anyone know where to get those 3-4" body plugs that are in the floor on the drivers and passengers side? They are not the usual 1' plugs

I had never seen them that big either, but someone posted pics of their "new" YJ the other day with bunch of rust and there was a plug like that in the pic big 3-4 incher. Sorry don't know where to get those. The standard small ones can be had on eBay for around $5 though.

I know what you're talking about - dead center in the middle of the front floorboard... took mine out when I herc'd it... haven't found them since. Tried online - no luck. Maybe a dealer part - try to find it for a '95.
I just got cheap heavy rubber floor mats - worked well all winter.

None of my friends in 93 or earlier jeeps have them, i was wondering if it was a drain plug, its in the perfect spot for one, all the water would drain out right there.

The tub is a 1995 and I have looked online as well w/o any luck, the one i have is o.k. but it's pretty rusty so i figured while the tub was off i'd just replace it, I'll check w/the dealer tomorrow and if no luck then i'll just sandblast it and put a thick coat of herc on it.

I've never seen any that big. I just welded all the drain holes in my floors, went to the parts store and bought 2- 2" expansion plugs and drilled new holes, one in the middle on each side now if I get water in I just pull the plug, and it quiter in the cab with no holes for road noise.

Whoa! floor pan plugs, whether in the front or behind the driver & passenger seats are an easy find!

LOWES for 0.79 a pair!

Go down the hardware isle (screws & stuff or nuts & bolts), and they've specialty drawers with a pic of em on front. On my '90 there's two sizes-but since so cheap, buy a handfull of both. I've Herc'd over them, or pulled them out for those weekly summer hose out the interior for easy cleaning jobs. Then usually have to buy again for the winter temps. Man I bet you guys buy them all up now.

I know what you are talking about, my 94 has them too.

My plan is to weld a round plates to each hole, paint, and forget about them. If you aren't a welder, epoxy would probably work just fine too.

OK thanks I just picked up some metal so it think thats what i'm going to do. I plan on putting in different plugs for drainage anyway and then using herc on the tub.
