Fixing a 91

Well, as the title says, my Jeep is a 1991 which i bought about 15 months ago. Me and my dad have been slowly working on it over the course of those 15 months fixing the rust and making it driveable. At first when we bought it, we figured there'd be a few little rust holes, but once we started poking around (after we bought it) we found those little holes were huge. There were a few rust spots on the frame, at the right shock mount there was a hole but it didn't hurt the strength of the frame at all so we patched it up. The motor's in great shape, it just needed a new valve cover gasket and it runs like new, brand new exhaust system. So far we've stripped it, patched all the rust holes, loaded it with bondo, replaced a few gaskets an removed the gas tank.
Here's the link to my photobucket album (i suggest going through the pictures backwards):

Here's a good side shot:

Any questions or suggestions let me know!

Looks alot like mine did when I got it. I had a rubber floor mat on teh driverside the first winter I had it to keep the cold air from coming through my floor and into my jeans. ( A real wake up at 6AM, lol)

A few hours later with a welder and some steel, it was all patched up. I should have bead rolled it though, as now I can stomp on the floor and it sounds like a bass drum when the metal flexes. oh well, function over looks....

yeah, the best way I have found to do a floor pan install is to remove all the "cancer" area and then get the new pan cut to size, then shape/mold it in using an autobody hammer -- then, seam seal where the bottom of the new floor pan will sit on the existing one and using small metal screws TEMPORARILY screw it to the existing floor -- then, seam seal the crap out of it where the new pan edges meet the existing floor pan and when it dries remove all the metal screws and quickly fill those holes with some more seam sealer. Just make sure to use the two part seam sealer and not the single caulk tube one they sell in the auto parts store -- it is a lot more expensive (along with the special caulk gun you have to buy for the two part seam sealer) but it is amazing stuff.
