That's a clean Jeep.

Why the hell is it so clean still? Go get some mud on it!!

Butt connectors are used throughout the professional audio industry... There is zero risk of them shorting out or failing, ESPECIALLY since the connection is a "zero stress" (means there is no physical stress on the wires) connection. If all is done right, those will out last the Jeep. The professional audio industry often uses them because customers do not want the technicians using a hot soldering iron inside of their expensive interiors.

There is no right or wrong way to do it, all in the user preference. My audio connections are butt connections, with the positive terminals being spade connectors. I also spy WalMart audio wire

That's how I met my fiance. She liked the idea of going for a ride with no top.

To the OP...... nice Jeep. Very good find.

Just one thing dude.... do you plan on going to college or a trade school? Remember every $500 you spend on the Jeep could have been $500 saved up to take out less student loans. The less student loans you have, the sooner you will pay them off. The sooner you pay them off, the sooner you can have nicer toys as an adult.

And it gets worse as you get older. My wife wants to take it, and let me ride in it... And she doesn't yet know how to drive a manual!

Congratulations!!! You've doomed yourself to a lifetime obsession, and possibly poverty due to an endless list of mods you will come up with. Much like your dad I had a CJ7 when I was younger before my kids were born. I just got back into a Jeep with my JK and I think I'm more in love with them now then I was then. Enjoy the hell out of it!!!

I'd kill for a clean YJ like that. Great purchase. Enjoy it.

He's 16. Please don't bring reality into the mix of first car/Jeep excitement.

Jeeps are unsafe and have a tendency to roll. I feel it's in your best interest to sell it me, I mean I'm just looking out for your best interest.

Awesome man. Great find. One bit of advice do NOT ever sell it. This thing will be passed down through the generations. And this is the start of it all. Ask you Dad if he regrets selling his CJ. My bet is he does. But congratulations and welcome to the club.
