I have read and posted in your other thread.
Not only was this a good trade, but it pisses me off that you got such a good deal on the other goodies!

So what plans do you have for it?
We need details man, details!!!!

Well the lift I got as a part of the trade is new and he's telling me it's a 6" Rough country. Not sure if it is a 6" or a 4". I'm also buying a set of 33" Swampers for it for $100 as a part of the deal. It's already herculined inside so I don't have to worry about that. The rear track bar is already removed and was thinking about doing the front as well as the sway bar. Not sure if I want to. I just changed the bushings in the front track bar before i joined this forum (what a PIA that was). It has aftermarket front bumper on it already I believe but I want to go with a warn front and rear. I'm going to take off the side step bars and do the rock crusher guards (side armor).

I have a built 350 that came out of a dirt track race car with 10 laps on it that i'm going to swap in it funds permitting. Bushwacker flares.

Man there is just to much to list but this is a start i guess.

The jeep isn't perfect but neither was the explorer. I figured for what I could get out of the explorer (someone offered me $1800) vs. what the YJ is worth I made out a lot better. There is no frame rot (except rear shock mounts gone) and very little surface rust which i'm fixing soon.

Looking at your future mods, might I suggest you forego the 2" shackle lift... not a good idea.
I made a rather lengthy post in the Wrangler General forum the other day in a thread titled "89 YJ I Recently Bought (STOLE) on Ebay" about 2" shackle lifts... and you can search for more information.
Other than that, looks like you have your work cut out for you. I can't wait to see how this build thread goes.

Ok so I got the hard top and hard doors today. Here is a couple of pics. I'm going to paint the top black in and out and the doors are either going to be red like the jeep or black. What do you think i should go with on the doors?

Thanks for the info. When I get all the parts around for the lift i'll get ahold of you for some shackles. I just got springs which i'm told are 6" lift. So i have to worry about shocks. t-case drop kit, pitman arm, etc. I may just sell the springs and buy one of the new 4" rc lifts. I ended up getting the 33's for $50 on rims.

First i'm going to fix what little body work needs to be done. Then I'm going to do the lift and tires. Then who knows. Whatever I have money for first. But I def. am fixing the little surface rust before winter and getting the hard top painted and hard doors.
