first drive with my new golen engine!!
Just got back from taking my jeep out with its new heart. And boy does it beat!! Its got tons of torque and quite a bit more power. Im sure some will say why did'nt I get a V8. Well the simple answer is I did'nt want one! Ive got the old motor in the crate and once im comfortable with the new engine, I will be looking for someone who wants a 4.L engine its got 100,000 miles on it. The previous owner of the jeep owns a body shop and restored the jeep. His wife said he had to get rid of one of his toys. Well I got lucky. The only thing it was lacking was new power. Well im done!! for at least a while. well thats not true, I think Im getting a hardtop tomorrow!! I hope its in good shape. Well thanx everyone for taking a moment to read my thread. I don't blame you, I wouldn't stick a stinken chevy motor in my jeep either, keep it real, keep it jeep, good for you!!!!!

Wont golen charge a core if you don't return the original engine??? Congrats tho, I'm in the middle of my first rebuild myself. I pulled the pistons out last night and will be pulling the crank then its off to the machine shop, bit off topic I know but its fun working with engines, so much so that I prolly should have made a different career choice but congrats again on your new motor.
