Filling up

Anyone have trouble filling up the gas tank? I can't hold the pump wide open cause the pump stops, and I have to let go of the nozzle, and then try again. it takes me 10 minutes to fill the tank because i have to pump as slow as possible. It feels like there is something blocking the nozzle when i put it into the gas tank filler. Any ideas? Is there something that I need to remove from the filler?

next time you fill up dont stick the nozzle so far down into the filler neck. i dont know why it does that but my jeep is the same way.

Same problem here. Always lose a little at the end. I have to keep the handle about 1/3 out or it will always cut out every few gallons and I have to start pumping again.

I usually hold the nozzle at an 8 oclock angle rather than 6; that seems to work for me!

Yep thats what I do too. But it still occasionally cuts off and I always get the squirt/spill at the end

the fuel pump handle cuts off because of pressure. if the nozzle is too far down into the filler there is not adequate room for the vapors to escape so the pressure builds up and clicks the pump off for obvious safety reasons. mine does the same thing I just put it in there a little and let it go. the drawback is you actually have to hold it there and sometimes that can be way annoying

Seems to consistently help when I turn the nozzle about 45 degrees from vertical too. Not all pumps do this, only certain stations it seems like.
