a few more questions

when taking off my exhaust we broke what i believe are called the studs on the exhaust manifold, is there anything i can do about this or am i gonna have to run no exhaust for a while?

my other question is that my alternator is f'ed up it won't even turn, my question is if i drive during the day and i don't run the radio and i charge my battery the whole time i'm not driving, how far do you think the jeep will make it with the messed up alternator. I only ask because i have some errands to run today and i don't know if i will be able to pick up a new one.

Odds are you won't make it very far. I wouldn't chance it. And if the alternator is seized... isn't your belt being torn up?

Is the stud broke off on the engine or the the manifold itself? I dont think its really an options to run with no manifold. 6 or 4 cyl?

If you have a fully charged battery, I would guess you could go maybe 15 minutes??? but thats a big maybe.

drill out the studs and drill a 3/8 hole all the way through and then use stainless steel bolts, with the nuts on the top side.

running on battery only hmmm my guess not long 15 minutes maybe. before she will start to miss fire and die.

I agree... it's not an option to run without a manifold. That is not a good idea at all.
