fender repair/Tube fenders

My passenger side fender is rotting right out so I'm exploring options to repair it. As you will notice in the pictures I have given below my front end is a little higher than the rear which is caused by the shackles you'll also notice is installed.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

As I said before I need to repair my fenders some how, whether its tubes or just a repair to oem. I'm worried about putting tube fenders on though because then i'd have even more room between my fender and the tires.

I was thinking about replacing the shackles up front with stock length shackles and then doing tubes.

My other issue is I'll have to make sure my fenders cover the tires as there is a law in Quebec(where I unfortunately just barely live over the border into) that requires that no tire is out from under the fender.

So what do you guys think?

If you wanted to do the tube fenders, I know Smittybilt makes some that are great and aren't too expensive. As far as covering the tire completely, I don't think it would reach all the way over a 33 x 12.50 tire.

As for your shackles, you definitely want them to be the same length all around in my opinion, so either get the extended shackles in the rear as well or get stock size shackles all around. You might as well replace all of them, since stock size shackles aren't expensive.

Thats what I was thinking, just replacing the front to the same length as rear.

I got really excited when I first looked at Davey's website and location. I'm out of Ohio so yeah, real nice to have this guy near me. Too bad I'm too poor to buy anything right now, dude's got some sweet deals.
