I just removed the rear track bar as a test. I would have to say the on road feel got a little softer, the bumps are not as "sharp" feeling. As far as body roll it increases a little but not much. I am going to try the front next. I have heard some people say the front gets more side to side pressure from the steering and you feel it more. I guess some HD shackles (welded with crossbar)would also prevent any flex you might get from the shackle area???

No Track Bars here for the last year or so. Wife drives it every day to work doing 65-70 WITH NO ISSUES. Lots of fun curves on the highway going thru the city too. Rides better without them actually.

My sway & track bars are chillin' in a pile somewhere. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying a Jeep with a much smoother ride and fun handleing on turns. If you take them off, it'll feel different, not bad. Much, much more flex without them.

No track bars. no swaybars. YJ's don't need them if you have strong springs and decent shackles.

Ditch the trac bars. They do work great as a pry bar, pretty useless on the jeep.

Naw, not even close. When you're a mod on 3 Jeep BB's and cruise ~12 others almost daily, you tend to see tracbar & swaybar dead horse threads almost daily. I post it ~once or twice a month which is far less than every chance I get.

I sometimes just delete the threads knowing the trolls (not always) are who tend to post the threads on a regular basis.

I am sorry and I apologize because I assumed JK.

Of course you can run a leaf spring based jeep without a track bar. The leaf springs locate the axel in all three planes. It may be that the leafs are light enough that the track bar is there to keep them from deforming.

If you had a JK my comments would be accurate.

Sorry for the confusing statement.

You crash.

You don't want to know how your obit reads.

Nuff said??
im not running one ether, tossed it the first week i gotmy YJ and that was years ago, in my opinion, the truck obsorbes bumps better cause its not transmitting the shock up the trackbar to the frame and then to me,

as far as your statement pylot, thats like saying that i should take my 3500 series dually to the scrapyard cause its an accident waiting to happen, it doesnt have a trackbar either, and its GRW combined is 22,500lbs, but wow, can you imagine? dually axle staying on track and the body jackknifing???

but in all fairness, i see you have a new truck with coil springs, in your case, your statement is true, not all jeeps were blessed with leafs just kidding
