Even knowing the in/out motors, the answer to your 'is there a writeup' is probably No. There are just too many combinations of years and wires and wire colors, even in what you would consider a 'common' swap.
What worked incredibly well for me was subscribing to AllDataDIY.com for the motor vehicle and the Jeep vehicle. Then you can see what color wire from the Jeep goes to what color wire on the motor to power the computer, etc. I even got enough information and had the full wiring from the '02 motor I used that I was able to swap in the full '02 motor under-hood fuse-box and eliminate the Jeep box. That was pne of the best moves I made in the swap, because now I have a zillion available circuits and relays for whatever I do in the future (E.G. the Jeep does not have heated seats, but the fuse box has a spot for that, which can run the ARB system).
