Engine Bog

My 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ has a 2.5L 4 banger with a standard transmission. When i get into third gear and at 3000 rpm my engine stops and bogs down. It slowly decreases rpm when at full throttle. When i shift into second it still gets lower and lower. Shift into first it keeps going. Also doesnt rev up in nuetral. This is not constant. It happens every 5 minutes and when the engine is warm. I pull over and the engine eventually kicks up to normal and i can drive another minute or 2. I do have a bolt broken off in the engine block that secures the exhaust header so there is an exhaust leak in the engine compartment. I believe that it is a fuel pump problem. how do I check the fuel pump? and are there any other ideas?

Could be the cat converter is clogged up./ Or your pump. Easy way is get a pressure tester and get the pressure at idle.
