Which emissions lines can you get rid of?

We have a 89 YJ and the guy we bought it from put on a performance air filter and did all sorts of capping or vacuum lines.....the jeep sputters on acceleration and wont go above 55...
So we put the original air filter on connected the pcv valve as it should be....still very confused on what lines are what....
Can anyone describe or provide pics of non-essential emissions/vacuum lines that we don't have to worry about?
Any help would be great-Thanks

Go here

Learn about what is supposed to be there and what it does. Then you can make some educated guesses. My recommendation is put back everythign you can, then remove stuff one a time if you want to experiment.

There is no situation that cannot be improved with a small but well-placed explosive.
