Electrical

Problem:

When I flip on my wipers (the PO rerouted them to a switch on the dash) the engine struggles each time the wipers move. It's like when you're lifting weights and you lose breath as you lift, its the same with the engine. It also happens when I switch on my headlights and even more when I turn on the KC's. There is a drop in engine power.

Question:

Is this the battery or the alternator, or something else?

Answer:

You guys

Alternator most likely. Check for good grounds too. You can find out if it's the battery by just having someone test it as well.

Yes, they can be either repaired or replaced.
The AutoZoo has replacements.
An alternator or auto electrical shop can rebuilt it better than the Zoo's replacements.

Sounds more like an alternator than the battery to me.

Don't know...I'll have to check...I assume I just follow the wiper wiring and see if it connects into the starter or ignition coil line?

Thanks
