Electical Help needed!!

Major electircal failure

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have got the rebuilt engine in and went to start it. It was turning over but apparently the timing was off. During the time we were getting the timing adjusted the ground gable from the battery to the engine was getting hot then power was not getting to anything.
replaced the fusable links at the starter solenoid
replaced the starter solenoid
replaced the battery
replaced the two relays next to the battery
the only power now showing is to the clock on the dash. No headlights, no dash lights, or the buzzer just leaving the keys in the ignition.

What have I done and how do I fix this?

Thanks

Get 2 new battery cables. Rebond all your grounds. Use a multimeter and check all your fuses, and check that they are getting power

You lost your feed to or from the starter solenoid. You need to check your wiring to the solenoid. My bet is you wired it wrong when you replaced it.

Go here and download the FSM:

It will help you figure out the wiring.

Did you forget to run the ground strap from the engine head to the firewall to ground the tub? Or at least have one from the battery neg to the firewall.
