Dumb lug nut question

Hi all,

Just picked up Black Rock 15" Aluminum wheels and planned on getting McGard lug nuts to replace the garbage on there now.

Question:

McGard makes two styles

1.) 3/4 Bulge style Acorn Lug Nut
2.) 13/16 Regular style Acorn Lug Nut

Which one should I get and is one better or not for aluminum wheels?

They both work the same, it's a matter of preference. I have both on mine because I stripped all my nuts on one wheel because of a bad stud. I prefer the 3/4 because the 13/16 is a little tight against my center caps.

18mm = 0.7086 or 23/32" more or less

19mm = 0.748 which is almost 0.75 which is 3/4"

and check the metric quote in my sig line......

Another real close one is 13mm which is just about 33/64 or 0.512 which is close enough to 1/2." I pretty much use the 13 mm and the 19 mm as interchangeable between 1/2 and 3/4 especially in a 6 point socket.

Isn't this a fun place????
