Thanks. I could only slide the plate around before I trimmed it up. After I cut it to shape, and slotted it for the driveshaft. Its wasn't as bad I what I thought.

[QUOTE=doug_1994;7890419]How's some good 'ol tech sound?

I've been away for a little while, but I'm back at it now.

I've been dyin' to get grease back under my nails, my wife, and I had our second son, and things been a crazy around here.

So here goes....

First off I made some three inch motor mount spacers out of some .25 inch plate I had. I wanted to get my motor up as high as I could with NO BODY LIFT. I had to remove the fan shroud, and move some of the wiring harness, from the back of the motor.

you say u used .25 plate? or is this square tube? thinking i might do motor lift! if not sq. tube, will it work? and what size? looks great! thanks for any help u can offer.

Yup, .25" plate. I didn't have any box tubing here, so I made my own. I wanted to squeeze every little bit of height I could get out of it. With no body lift, three inches was about right.

I don't see why square tube wouldn't work, and the size is all up to you. You can see how I cut my firewall out, so it all depends on how crazy you want to get. I'm not to sure you could go to much higher, without the valve cover contacting the hood.

Thanks for the complement.

I like your skidplate better than the one I made for my YJ, But I still DD mine and didn't want to cut the floor board so mine hangs down 3/4 in

Yeah, mine hangs down about an inch too. If I wanted to get rid of my AC I could prolly get it tight to the frame. But my shifter is up under the dash allready, and its tuff to get into first gear. I still got work to do there.
