drag link help

I'm trying to center my steering wheel (yes I lnow there are other threads on that, I looked at em) and almost have it straight. I have threads showing on both side of ther TRE but I can't get it to turn any further. My question is should the drag link go all the way out on either end? If so any advice on moving it that little extra. I'm starting to get good pipe wrench impressions on the link from trying. Much thanks

Beyond corrosion, what would prevent them from going in more? Stock drag link?

Threads look good. Factory TRE's far as I know. Are the supposed to go from thread end on the TRE? Fyi I did have to clean the threads. They had grease on em. The wheel got turnes after I removed the swaybar
