Door paddle spring broke. Buy just the spring?

I'm talking about the small (1-2cm) spiral spring that keeps my full steel door paddle from flapping around. Mine broke. Last time I just replaced the spring from my bin of spare door parts, but now I'm all out of springs. Anyone know if I can buy/acquire just the spring? My paddle is in great shape except for that little bugger...

I will take a look in my garage tomorrow. I may still have one from my old handles I replaced this past year. If so I will let you know.

You can go to a local hardware store (not big box), and get some flat spring stock and wind your own if you can't find one.

You know, I hadn't thought of that. I'll give it a shot. Think Fastenal would have something like that? It's my favorite store E V E R.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm going to try to hit Fastenal after work today. I might not make it there until tomorrow--helping a guy from our club swap the front end of his Cherokee. I'll let you know if Fastenal (or HD/Lowes) doesn't have anything worth using.
