Door Handle rods

Anyone know if you can get the little clips for the door rods. These arent plastic ones they are tin/steel and the rods have threads on them on my sons 95. On my 89 they are plastic and the rod is bent to go into it. I either need to find an early rod with the 90 degree bend or the clip to match the later rod.

They had them at my stealership when I was looking for the plastic ones. My dealer gave me the last of the plastic ones and said that they are a dicontinued part, maybe you will be lucky and be able to still get yours.

the plastic ones can be found at many aftermarket parts stores such as pep boys.. autozone... advance auto parts etc... I just cant find the ones that accept the threaded rods as of yet.

My dealership had them, they tried to tell me that was what I needed at first. I would at least try them, unless you wanna make a different setup.

Yeah the steel ones, they gave me the rest of the plastic ones because they were a dicontinued part. Then they tried to give me the metal ones as well, but I had no need for them, this was about 3 months ago. If your lucky maybe they still have them at your local dealership.

I use copper wire and bend it as required to hold everything together.

I used steel wire, but did the same thing. Why buy what you can fix?
