My drivers door handle keeps getting off track and then i gotta take apart the door to fix it. Finally this tims the interior piece of the handle broke off and now im screwed! First off, i gotta get a new handle but secondly, the design is total crap and im wondering if anyone has any insight to fix this for good or better yet if there is an upgrade to this stock system that is clearly flawed?? Please Help me out I am soooo frustrated right now!!!

I wish I could help but I don't know YJ doors. Please ask this over in YJ tech as this subforum is for site issues and suggestions only.

Are you talking the paddle handle on the outside or the plastic one on the inside?? Replaced all of mine when I rehabbed the doors no issues.

There has to be a reason they are breaking so in addition to replacing you have to find out why. My YJ had the originals on just rusted. The outer paddle handle opens the door by moving the linkage rods tha release the latch mechanism. I would remove that and try to figure out if it is working properly and that when your done that everything is adjusted. That will ensure you don't have too much resistance when opening the door. Hope this helps.
